Some kinks to work out

I bought these because I liked the ability to control the colour temperature and thought a smart light that I could control through the Globe app or Alexa would be very convenient. However, I discovered (after throwing away the boxes so I am now unable to return them) that they aren’t dimmable with the dimmer switch. Dimming through voice command is vey frustrating to try to get it right. We have 3 lights on the same switch and they aren’t able to be grouped on the Globe app, or at least I haven’t figured out how. We have them grouped on Alexa, but some of the commands won’t work as we would like and she will say, “I don’t know how to do that.”

Colour spectrum issue

Setup and paired with Alexa was relatively easy. Sadly though, the colour spectrum is totally unacceptable. When dialing into the warmer spectrum there is a distinct difference in the white vs amber filaments, leaving a very visible division in the illumination. Essentially one side is cool, and other side is warm. Here’s a photo.

Q: Can these be used for outdoor lights? Or indoor only?

A: I use these bulbs outdoor and have no connectivity issues due to weather or the fact that it’s used outdoors. Keep in mind that my porch lights are just outside the door so wifi signals can still reach without any issues!
