Downloaded the app onto my iPhone 15, connected the device to my home wifi, set the on/off schedule for the week in the app and it worked like a charm.

Geeni products are great. The smart plug was easy to set up and works perfectly. I use them to turn on and off the defrost wires installed on my roof and eavestrough.

Stopped working after a few weeks

At first I thought this product was great. It was easy to set up and the watch app worked really well, unlike another brand of smart plugs I own. However I was disappointed to find the plug dead after about three weeks of use. No amount of reset attempts, leaving it unplugged for a while or anything else would bring it back to life. The worst part is I had accidentally thrown out the receipt and I didn’t keep the packaging. I just didn’t expect it to fail so quickly. It wasn’t cheap either
so I’m out around $25. I am going to try to return it as I would have scanned my Canadian tire money card, but I don’t know if that will be
successful.
No, I do not recommend this product.

That's definitely not the experience we want our customers to have, especially considering the ease of setup you initially enjoyed. While we understand you've disposed of the packaging and receipt, we still want to help. To proceed with a warranty claim, please contact Canadian Tire and request a copy of your purchase receipt. Having the receipt will significantly expedite the warranty claim process. Canadian Tire may be able to access your purchase information through your loyalty card or other means, even if you no longer have the physical receipt.

All of our devices are designed to work for 2.4 GHz networks so that it can accommodate wider range since the 5 GHz that cannot penetrate walls and floors. Since most routers nowadays are dual-band, we can ask your Internet Service Provider to separate the two networks (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) for them to have different SSID so you can connect your device to 2.4 GHz networks. Q: What is the maximum watts this can handle? The description states 15amps which according to an online converter is 1800 watts.

Q: Can this plug be used to run a car's block heater? It does say 15 amp max and 1250 watts and that does cover it but I'm wondering if anyone has done it. Thanks!
