Not washable as stated

If you're expecting a lifetime filter, forget it. The listing for this filter states, "Washable and can be cleaned, vacuumed and reused." In fact, the filter frame is cardboard, so it cannot be washed, and the manual for the Air Purifier for which it was designed says the filters cannot be cleaned and reused. The pre-filter from the purifier (which attaches to the front of this filter with velcro) will help extend the life of the HEPA filter by removing large particles, cat fur, etc. and it can be washed.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: I have been using Costco Kirkland 16x25x1 inch filters, come in a 4 pack. Cut the filter in half, make a new end using cardboard and duck tape and it works fine. Use a glue gun to add the Velcro strips to hold on the pre filter MERV 13 filter Works great

Q: Air purifier suggestion? So the Garrison filter is now totally unavailable. I have to throw a perfectly functioning machine into the landfill. What do you suggest I replace it with? Do you have something that will have filters in stock for more than 18 months?
