Q: Does this model have a moist setting? More importantly.. does it work? Also how much bag material is wasted..I'm referring to the two inches. (1in each end) I loose every time I bag and seal something..
5 years agoA: Thank you for your interest in our products. Yes, our FoodSaver® 3000 Vacuum Sealing System has moist and dry custom settings. You would use the Moist Setting if you are attempting to seal foods (not soups or sauces) that have any liquids or possible moisture in the bag. To seal food items such as soups and sauces, please pre-freeze before sealing. This changes the seal level for type of food - moist or dry. Liquids can be drawn up by the vacuum process and liquids between the layers of the bag can have a cooling effect on the heat seal. Adjustable Food Settings Seal Level can extend the seal time to compensate for liquid and create a secure, reliable and air-tight seal. Have a wonderful day!
