Right place. Right time. Right-est Price!

What more need one say than “FISKARS”. My family has been using FISKARS products since they first became available in the Canadian market. I have had a set of larger FISKARS lopers since 1992. With repeated sharpening, oiling and care they have served me well over the past 32 years and continue to serve me well. I needed a shorter pair of lopers for some of the new challenges I face caring for a number of wild hawthorn trees. As I have learned the hard way, my longer lopers are not the correct tool for this job. And bonus Canadian Tire had a combo price, with new set hand pruners I simply could not resist. And second bonus, my wife loves the new pruning shears.

Q: I can't open the pruners is there a trick to opening them or do I have a defective product?

A: I have same problem with the small pruner. The orange tab is not moving back to open the pruner.I tried to squeeze the handle while trying to slide the orange tab no luck. Is it defective piece?

Q: My pruners seem to have something preventing the orange tab from moving It looks like there is a piece of black metal inside the groove preventing the small orange tab from sliding. Are these defective? I can't open them!!

A: There is some kind of small stud that goes through that orange tab if that's what you are refering to and that what holds the tab and serves as lockig mechanism. The tab is pretty hard to slide for the first few times but it gets a lot easier.
