Broke

It lasted all of 30 seconds. The plastic threaded pieces are woefully under-built. Three jabs and it broke in half. CT offered to charge me $70 for a more expensive model, which to me would have the same design flaw, but wouldn’t provide a refund. It was a Christmas gift and outside the 30 day return period. Really disappointed all around…

A complete rip off

I bought this for my grandson. He filled it with water, and it was not stable, so he planned to fill it with sand. Well, tonight, we finally got the sand. It lasted 3 minutes, and he took the top right off. Do not buy this. This shouldn't be on the shelf. I'm disappointed Candian Tire would sell such garbage. Now, looking at the reviews, it seems clear we are not the only ones. Zero stars for this garbage.

A: the base is unfilled. I tried water but it needed sand so I purchased bags of sand o fill the base.

A: at 1st I used water but it still moved around. I decided to empty it a got bags of play sand to fill it instead much better.

A: The diameter of the punching area is 13" (33 cm). The height of the punching area is 24.5" (62.2 cm)

Q: Would water in their jugs work as well as sand in their bags?

A: There is a slight difference between using water and sand for the Free Standing Heavy Bag. Sand is a little heavier when compared to the same volume of water, which makes the heavy bag more stable when absorbing punches.

Q: What are people using to place under the bag to prevent the noise and the sliding of the bag on my laminate flooring? I filled it with water up to the rim but it still slides easily on my floor and makes A LOT of noise. Any mat recommendations?
