      Not as good as advertised

Says it covers 650 Sq ft, my driveway is 500 sq ft and it took 2 pails to cover. Says it's guaranteed to last 10 years, did mine 2 years ago and it now needs doing again. It did go on easily and looked good when first applied.

No, I do not recommend this product.

      Good But Expensive

After reading a bunch of average/negative reviews, I just decided to get this on sale and give it a try since I did use Rust-Oleum products in the past for leak seal projects. My driveway can park 3 full size sedans and I reseal every 2 years so it is always in decent shape. Cons: Expensive. The container should have been at least double in volume. If you need to spend hundreds of $ buying multiple containers, think about paying local contractors when they work on your neighbour’s driveway and negotiate. Pros: Leaves a nice matte finish that sets up for a second layer of driveway sealer (cheaper option). Keeping in mind that this is only a resurfacer, it will fill fine cracks only so I used a roller to apply a very thin initial layer. A bit of leftover was used to re-apply to high frequency trouble areas. After letting it cure for a week, I used a squeegee to apply EpoxyShield Driveway Sealer. Great results, lots of work, spent a total of $140 on hardware/supplies.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

      Great Looking Finish

It does take a bit more to cover a previously unsealed surface (exspensive), but touching up or applying a second coat works very well. Used it on a 20+ year old tennis court and it looks and feels great. Has only minor cracks after one year where old cracks existed.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Epoxy or urethane, which is it? The product name is misleading if the features list is correct. Which is it?

      1 Answer
      • A: The Epoxy Shield Driveway sealer is an acrylic sealer, not a urethane, or an epoxy. Epoxy Shield is the brand name, and does not refer to the product's resin base.
