it spills out the holes where the popsicle sticks go in, belguim waffles aren't quite suitable for this waffle maker it doesn't stick, just like it said, but it leaks out batter where the sticks are supposed to go, gotta use thinner batter to spread quicker to close the lid sooner to avoid spillage, i think. i liked my regular waffle maker better
