Q: About the 12 Volt Dirt Devil Portable Vacuum Cleaner. Is this a Lithium battery and is there a charging method? Ours was kept on the charger when not used. Is this wise? It failed in 2 years. What is the warranty?

Q: What happens when the battery no longer charges? You mentioned I cannot change the battery. Do you suggest I throw it away and buy a new unit? It would be better for the environment if I could replace the battery with rechargeable batteries.
