A: Yes, it does. You can open/close the claws by hand to pick up an item and then raise and lower it using the remote control.

Would Not Purchase

This was gifted to my son less than a week ago. It falls over super easily no matter how careful and even weighted down and the claw bit completely snapped apart and can’t be fixed. I wouldn’t bother spending money on it. We have a very sad child now.

My son and grandson had fun putting this together.. When I asked my grandson if he liked the toy, he said yes, but he can’t sit on the floor and use the remote because it’s too short.

Kids love it

Our kids are really enjoying it. There are a lot of design stickers to apply, but after that assembly was quick. It doesn't weigh very much and is top-heavy, so I recommend screwing the four base "legs" to a 15" x 15" board to prevent tipping over and possibly breaking. The claw that hooks to the crane cable is not motorized, kids have to open and close it by hand with a spring-loaded button on top of the claw.
