After testing it I like it.

After working with this tool I would like to update my review. There is no manual so figuring it out was trial and error but once I got if worked out and tested it on a job, I'm keeping it. The Dewalt bits and the Milwaukee bits don't work on this attachment. Can't get a solid fit. Then I went with the Ryobi 1/4" shank bits. Now the attachment and the bits go together like gin and olives.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Kinked and doesn't work now

I was using this product to tap out a small hole and it kinked and nearly tore into my pinky. I did tear my glove off. I may have been using the product incorrectly. Either way, it is concerning.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hard Pass - Can’t take even medium torque levels

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used twice. First time was unable to run in a screw due to bad angle and position. Second time, the unit twisted up and jammed my hand into the material I was working. This is basically a toy that might be useful for removing and replacing a small screw in a tight spot. It is not ready for new construction or anything heavy duty.

Q: Takes only hex bits or can I load fractional drill bits?

1 Answer
  • A: Hex bits refers only to the end shank shape of the bit (Drill bit / Fastening bit). A standard “round” shank drill bit will not work as it needs a Hex shank end. Refer to example under DEWALT Impact Ready Drill Bits / use 054-4079-2 as reference point
