Good tool no guard?

Just got the tool and was excited to install the blade and get to work. Looked through the box for the blade guard and couldn’t find it. After some online research apparently it doesn’t come with a blade guard. Thought that was strange and potentially dangerous. The Milwaukee I have used before sure had one. Would be a five star rating if it had come with the safety guard

NO BLADE COVERS

I have over 29 Dewalt tools and have had no QUALITY problems, I got this as a Christmas present and opened the box and took it into my shop to try it out. Cutting a small piece of metal, ALL I saw was sparks! Stopping to check it out the blade covers were not on the saw. I checked the box and none there. No covers and no screws to mount them. What has happened here - I don't know, were they to be mounted? and not done at assembly?
I checked on line and it shows blade covers for the saw. Now I have a band saw that is useless.

I was looking around at buying one but didn’t know if I would have a use but I ended up getting and it was the best perches I use it for everything cutting unistrut, treated rod, conduit, aluminum it’s my favourite because you don’t have to watch for sparks or anything just start cutting

Great balance

I recently purchased this tool and I am quite pleased with it. I am a professional plumber working mostly on multi family housing structures which means I typically end up having to plumb the parking garages and that is where this thing really shines. It cuts through threaded rod and uni strut like it’s butter with absolutely no need for debuting after the fact which is a huge time saver. I have also used this thing to cut through pvc, cpvc, pex, and gas pipe and it does a very clean job of those cuts as well. I really appreciate the balance of this saw as I’m almost always using it with one hand which can get tiring after a while if the weight is off. I also really love the LED light on the saw as when I’m working in the parking garage it’s always quite dark. I wish the saw would have come with the rear guard but I went out and bought that separately anyways. Battery life has been great with the 5.0 battery pack lasting me all day usually. I really appreciate the cut depth on this saw as it covers everything besides the big stuff on my jobsite. If you’re a pro I think this is a tool that you should not be without as it has so many uses
