Spend a little more and get a higher torque tool.

Not a bad little impact gun, but not nearly powerful enough. Bought it to change wheels on my wife's Toyota and my Ford F150. Toyota wheels torque to 75ft/lbs and F150 to 150ft/lbs. Has a struggle to undo the Toyota wheels and won't touch the truck wheels, have to break them loose with a 1/2" power bar. Only good for zipping them on and off once they are broken loose. This tool is rated by DeWalt at 150ft/lbs but don't believe it.

This tool should be 3/8 and is just for small/ light assembly options.

This is the light duty version of the DeWalt 1/2" impact. It still has enough torque to handle many jobs, and is less fatiguing to use than the heavier version.

I got this tool on clearance, it feels well made, has decent torque. I use it for fixes on my vehicle and unfastening lug nuts when changing over tires.

A: Neither is correct. These are just marketing numbers for reference. You don't have tools to measure it, do you? For me it removes my SUV wheel nut easily and this little tool meets my expectations.

A: DW model#: DCF880B is not a Brushless model. A brushless model is a DCF899B http://www.dewalt.com/tools/cordless-impact-driverswrenches-high-torque-wrenches-dcf899b.aspx The torque is not adjustable, it is pure output of torque. Standard & safe practice should be using a cordless or pneumatic torque wrench to install the fastener & then use an appropriate manual toque wrench to ensure the fastener is torqued to the proper/recommended torque rating. This is to be done for both end user safety & to meet the manufactures rating. Anything over torqued could potentially damage the fastener or whatever is being fastened with a potential risk of injury to the user and is not recommended.
