Great air mover!

We bought this for use at campgrounds. It's lightweight and convenient. I was very impressed that even at the lowest setting it produced a good amount of air movement. On the highest setting it was capable of moving lots of air. It was relatively quiet in performance as well. I'm quite impressed. I have multiple battery packs so that's nice for long use.

Q: Why are you showing the photo of DCE511B which is a different fan that has A/C as well?

A: No, it is not the correct fan. Check the DeWalt website and check the model in the store before taking it home. The DCE512B shown on this page DOES NOT have the A/C option on it. Only the DCE511B has the A/C option. The photo on this item is the wrong fan.

Q: Does the fan serve as a charger when connected to an AC outlet with battery installed?

A: This fan does not have an AC Outlet. Only the DCE511B has the A/C port on it. As noted in another question, the photo on this item is incorrect. The DCE512B can only operate on battery. Check the DeWalt website to confirm. They do not even list the DCE511B as they decided to drop the option to use A/C. The DCE512B can only run on battery. *The photo on this item is the wrong model.* Check it in the store before taking it home. Even the box indicates the difference on these 2 models.

Q: Can it be used inside the house to keep cool while there is a thunderstorm. How long can one run this fan, ie. 4hrs on low speed for example. The type of electrical cord needed for this fan. Can battery be attached if plugged in electrical outlet

A: I'v never used it in a thunderstorm however iv used it in a rainstorm and a snowstorm and even on a few windy days and also at high tide, iv never had any issues with it. cant wait for a thunderstorm to try it out hope it works.

A: Hello JJay Thank you for your contact. We apologize for any trouble or inconvenience in finding information. The fan will run on 20v Batteries that are Lithium Ion and branded by DEWALT or DEWALT FLEXVOLT 20v/60v batteries. You would also need a charger compatible with the battery. Battery run time may vary depending upon factors including but not limited to charging conditions, usage of tool, storage, environmental conditions, age, etc. Because of these factors, DEWALT is unable to provide a run time.
