Fantastic sharpener - Worth every penny!

I have had one of these sharpeners for 20 years and it still works great! I sharpen my kitchen knives a couple of times a year with it and they are always sharp as razors. I liked it so much that I also bought model 316 (for sharpening Asian knives.) I highly recommend this product.

Useless piece of c*@p

After three months it essentially stopped working. Passing a knife through all three stages multiple times, its still so blunt i can draw the knife across my palm with no danger of cutting myself. What a complete waste of money. I'd suggest getting a cat instead and have it lick your knives sharp - It'll be about as effective, but at least you'll have the company of a pet.

This is my second Chef's Choice knife sharpener; superior to the first one which was good just needed replacement; both sharpeners always worked well for me; I'm stunned to see others don't like it; had it for years; still works well; heartily recommend it.
