It is a great piece of workmanship! Sadly, I made the mistake of selecting the nearest electrical contractor who did not understand the wiring/control circuits. I kept complaining that the system did not work & he kept insisting everything was perfect and refused to return. Finally the registrar of contractors had to get involved and it was established that the system indeed did not work. Champion was great about sending some replacement parts and I am having an authorized dealer install them next week. With all the new strains on the power grid, it will be great to have a reliable backup!

No warranty as thought

Since I am off grid, the warranty does not cover. So if you are an off grid customer consider buying another type of generator who will actually cover and honor the warranty stated before purchasing.

Impressive Generator

Impressive generator. Easy to use and maintain. Noise level much lower than similar sized generators. We live in western North Carolina where we were without power for nearly a month due to hurricane Helene. This prompted us to order and install the generator. Have tested it with several brief outages since installing, and it kicked in seamlessly. Appears to be very efficient re propane use. With our 300 gallon tank and the generator’s efficiency, we have confidence that we would be well served with any potential long term outages. Recommend this product.

First impressions - good. The standby generator came on when we tested it and powered all the lights and equipment connected to it without any problem. Let's hope everything goes without a problem when we actually lose power!
