  • Rear wheels do not fit, and are 26" wide. Package says up to 29". Front wheels will certainly rip the bag if I try to lift it. It is fully tightened.

No enough room for 225/60R17

1. It said suitable for large tires, but for 225/60R17 the edges are just wrapping the circumference of the tire, causing the tires to fall out when lifted (The description image shows well wrapped on tire walls) 2. The strings don't really lock and everything comes loose while lifting. Had to twist the strings and fold while lifting to ensure tires where not jumping out.

I purchased those and I had to return them. The material itself seemed okay, but it didn't fit the tire properly, the elastic string to tighten it would not hold and there is no way you can lift the tire by the handle and not have the tire fall out of the cover. If they had designed it with a strong velcro instead of an elastic string, it might have been better.

Q: which would be a better fit for tire size 225/70R16 on original Hyundai Santa Fe alloy wheels - the large or small size ?

  • A: I would select the larger size. I have the smaller set for my wifes car and it's tight getting the cover over the tire. The tightening mechanism is not great, I think the maker could have used a better clamp system to hold the cord tight.
