By allowing you to cook safely, it virtually eliminates cooking woes. Made from high-quality porcelain-coated steel, this flamer tamer will assist you for several years. It distributes the heat from the burners evenly across the cooking grid. Sturdy and durable, the equipment is easy to clean and measures 17-1/8 x 5½-in inches (41.3 x 15.2 cm). To create a barrier between your burners and the cooking surface, simply place a flame tamer on the grill grates.

Refurbished Barbecue with Centro Replacement Coated Steal Heat Shields.

I bought these to use in reconditioning my old barbecue which is a different brand. The stainless steal body is in great shape so I did not want to discard it. I made some little brackets which enabled the installation. The new installation works perfectly.

Too tall

Unfortunately these were too tall for my bbq I had to bend the 4 I bought which made it wider just to make it 1” shorter in height to fit my grills on top without contacting. In doing so the ceramic coating was like tiny glass sharps projecting at my face, revealing bare metal at the bend which will ultimately deter the life of it. Great heat distribution though!
