Q: Does the rubber smell or is it virgin rubber?
5 years agoA: Yes there's a moderate smell to it. Just wipe it down and it'll eventually subside. It's not too bad - still a good deal

Q: How do I get the smell off/away from the product so I can actually use them?
4 years agoA: The dumbbells can be left in an open space to be aired out, also you use a mild cleaner (such as liquid soap; hand or dish) to lather, completely rinse and completely air dry. Which can help the smell dissipate faster.

5 years agoA: I just bought this sat and it smells bad! You could smell the weights before they were even opened. And there also was a greasy type substance on some of the weights. I am waiting them all down and hopefully the smell will go away because it's bad.
