Broadstone Hybrid Tent, 10-Person

Thought it can sleep 10 We prefer to have room and sleep in one room and make the other a screened sitting room . Easy to assemble and rainproof.

My rating for now is based on size and design; performance rating is at the end of this review. I just purchased this tent yesterday for a week long camping trip to Montana in August. So far we totally love the design. Much longer than it looks in the picture, 10 X 18' It is a HUGE tent, which is great for our family of 2 adults a 6 year old and 2 year old and a whole whack of stuff. I thought the hybrid feature would be neat so I wanted to have lots of extra room if we need to use it as a screened area. You can stand completely in it, and there are pockets in each of the rooms for organizing your stuff. It is a very EASY set up, which was a nice surprise. Only took maybe 10 minutes, and that's just because the kids were helping (hindering) me!! So now for the bad news: I'm exchanging the tent for the exact same one. It has been set up for under 24 hours and has leaked 3 times. Calgary is hot and sunny, but we have fast freakish rainfall. We've had 3 of these rainfalls and it has leaked substantially all 3 times :(. I've had to soak up the puddles with towels (2 each time) so I would say that is a substantial amount of leaking. I can't figure out where it's coming from. I really want to LOVE this tent so I'm going to give it another try. I'm packing it up in about 5 minutes and hopefully going to exchange it for the same as long as Canadian Tire is cooperative! The next tent I will set up for a test, and then I plan to use Nikwax Tent & Gear Solarproof to maximize the water resistance. The tent I have set up now does't have any after market spray on it. I thought I'd just see how it handles a little bit of weather first...good thing I tested it. I hope the next one passes with flying colors and not water puddles!! Stay Tuned :)

Easy 4 pole set up. 1 person can do it. Fly fits great and was very easy to put on. Door and window zippers are above average. There was 1 very small pool of water in a corner after raining all day. I have not sealed the seams yet. The interior is huge and tall.

La tente semble bien mais je n'ai pu l'installer car 2 batons #poteaux# ont brisés lorsque j'ai voulu les joindre pour monter la tente. J'ai également acheté la tente Broadstone Euro 8 et 1 baton #sur 5# avait brisé lors du montage... Cela me fait penser que Broadstone n'a pas des batons très solides... Heureusement nous avons monté ces deux tentes AVANT d'aller en camping! :-)

I have had this tent for 5 years now and this tent is amazing it is used 2-3 times a year for a week to two weeks at a time. There is a lot of room in this tent I have put a double high queen size bed and two play pens in this tent and there was still plenty of room for 3 Rubbermaid bins for clothes and room to walk and move around with ease .Its not hard to set up, it takes me 10 minutes by myself to fully set this tent up and with two people we can have it up in under 5 minutes. I have only had a problem with water once and I had left all the windows open and the fly rolled back and we had a heavy rain. other than that this tent has never leaked with the fly pulled completely closed. I can even have the windows partially open during a thunderstorm and the rain does not get in. This tent hold up better in the rain than my Coleman instant tent. This tent has great ventilation there has never been condensation on the inside and the bedding has never been damp.
