This machine is completely manual, which takes some making techniques. The techniques involved are starting from grinning, timing, and foaming. It needs practice. Buy the hand grinning machine, Commande C40 or something equivalent for the grinning. I'm more focused on making espresso. If you are looking for semi-auto or no brainer machine, this may not be the one.

This machine has an automatic turn off. It produces an inconsistent cup no matter of grind or basket used I have a 20 and 15 year old machines that still produce a consistent cup

A: Do you mean from the drip tray below of the fresh water reservoir? The lower one must be drained and cleaned manually. Hope that helps...

Q: Can this machine make two cups of espresso at a time?

A: As there are two spouts on the porta filter, yes two individual streams of espresso can be extracted into two individual shot glasses. milk frothed all together and you will have two drinks in the same process as making one.

Q: Is the boiler stainless steel or aluminum? I had another brand of espresso maker with an aluminum boiler, which started to corrode after 2 years.

A: The Duo-Temp Pro (model BES810BSS) has a heating system with a metal block with a stainless steel path therefore there is no contact with aluminum and it will not corrode. Also, the unit comes with a one year warranty and the after sales service is excellent.
