Better than I thought it would be

a month ago

I was looking for something to coat cold pack asphalt because it was starting to flake apart. I wish I had realized that using a paint brush was the best method to apply it without scattering the cold pack pebbles away. This stuff cured pretty quickly even when I had it a bit thick. The parts where I got it a bit thin hardened perfectly by the next day. Really impressed with this stuff. I will say that I didn't get near the claimed square footage, but I wasn't just spreading it on asphalt.

Be sure to mix thourghly , I used a paint mixer on a power drill. I did a couple coats to get into all the holes. Very happy with the finished look.

Q: Is this water based?

A: Yes, this sealer is an asphalt emulsion, which is considered water-based. It consists of asphalt, water, and an emulsifying agent. The asphalt is dispersed in tiny droplets within the water. When applied, the water evaporates, leaving behind a protective asphalt layer on the driveway surface.
