    I love it!

I use it whenever I need to do a lot of chopping or dicing and I am done in minutes, pop the parts in the dishwasher and that’s it! Occasionally a slice flies away from the bowl but turns out it is best to have something around 10-12 inches in diameter to catch the food - height isn’t as important so sometimes I chop things directly into the frying pan I will be using without any issues - it won’t “aim” at a small bowl. The only thing I recommend is to check the green blade thoroughly before storage because some small food bits can get trapped where the blade meets the green plastic - easily removed with a dish brush

    SUPER ACHAT !!!

Je viens de me procurer ce robot culinaire et j'en suis hautement satisfaite. On utilise un plat de la grandeur désirée pour notre recette et le coffret de rangement pour les accessoires est fort utile. De plus, le prix en liquidation est vraiment WOW!

A Design Flaw Keeps This Unit Being Sanitary. Avoid If You Value Your Health!

The Black+Decker MultiPrep SL3000 is not bad in terms of build quality but is under powered when compared to other food processing units. The food chute is small and will require a user to cut up regular sized tomatoes and potatoes. There are not speeds, just on and off. The extra blades are a good value and help justify its higher cost. However, a serious design flaw keeps this unit from being usable. In the unit's basin, there is a rotating blade that pushes food down the chute into a bowl. The blades are not removable and lock into place when the unit is off. You cannot clean underneath the blade nor move the blade out of the way to give the unit a good cleaning. Obviously, the unit cannot be put into a dishwasher, spray it with water or otherwise clean it thoroughly. Lodged food will remain and this presents a health hazard. This is not acceptable. In speaking withe the Black+Decker specialist, she acknowledged that there is no way to remove the push blades and the unit was manufactured that way. She did offer to send my concern to their research department, who will look into the matter. In other words, you are out of luck and you can figure out what if want to use it or not. To those people interested maintaining sanitary standards and want to fully clean appliances that finely chop food, I would avoid this unit at all costs. This is not an acceptable risk to me or my family.

    Not great

Bought this because of back problems and trouble cutting, it was small and light for me to use. It often jams when dicing. It worked good when shredding but have to cut vegetables small to fit the shoot. It is very messy shooting the vegetables all over. I should have returned it when it first jammed but thought it was how I was using it and kept trying.

    broke first use

I was looking forward to using this product to assist with my weekend vegetable prep. for the week. This unit has a dicing attachment that is very useful. I was getting along ok. A couple of times the blade popped off when dicing and jammed. I wasn't feeding to much in the shoot either. Then a piece of celery jammed and the machine stopped and never started again. The motor must not be equipped with shutoff protection. A piece of celery jamming shouldn't have burnt the motor out.

No, I do not recommend this product.
