Thicker aluminum than the cheaper model. Locking mechanism is convenient to use . Could be improved with a push latch where the accessories connect rather than just two holes in the pole.

After using this pole for a couple weeks, the tightening collar is no longer able to clamp tight enough. The pole shrinks and lengthens itself while brushing the pool and it makes it quite annoying to adjust with each sweep. Not to mention the wasted effort because sweeping is ineffective now that the pole just shrinks when you try to push it. I loved it for the first 2 weeks. Now the pole is only good in its shortest length. Disappointed for the price point.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Why does the pole not have holes to attach the net?

A: It does have 2 holes at the bottom so you can attach anything. Net, brush, etc.

Q: Past poles I had (from CTire) would retract when fully extended while brushing the pool floor. What about this one?

A: I bought the pole thinking that the half twist ferrule would be easier to use. It is not and does not stop the pole from sliding closed during brushing and vacuuming. My advice is to purchase a different pole with the regular ferrule joint. I have been extremely unhappy with this pole.
