What size lawn edging do I need?

The best way to determine what size lawn edging you need is by measuring your garden bed border and adding at least 10% to the total. The extra length allows for any curves, turns or slight bends that would typically add to the measurement.

How much lawn edging do I need?

To find out how much lawn edging material you will need, simply divide the perimeter of your entire lawn or garden by the length of one single edging piece – this can either be a stone, plastic edging or other.

How much fencing do I need for my garden?

You will need to measure the perimeter of your garden or lawn and then divide that by the size of the fencing you are planning to install. The resulting number will inform you of how many units you will need to fence the area.

How to install lawn edging correctly?

Follow the steps below to properly install your lawn edging:

1. Measure the border of your garden or lawn

2. Dig a trench around the border or garden bed

3. Trim the desired edging to fit

4. Backfill the edging with the leftover soil saved from when you dug the trench

5. Secure your desired edging in place
