Yardworks 24V Cordless Lawn Mower, 14-in

I take offence to the reveiw where the author said those that have complaints are doing it wrong. I bought my yardworks lawnmower about 12 years ago and thought it was the greatest since sliced bread. Well two years later - and two winters with living with the battery in my house and recharging every two weeks like it said - the first battery died. Off I go to CT to replace and much to my chagrin the replacement battery was going to cost more than the initial purchase of lawnmower with battery. I had no choice. Well I moved and could now keep my battery in the basement for winter charging and a few years later the second battery died with the proper maintenance. I again replaced the battery with huge eyes at the increase in price. So this year after doing what I'm supposed to and using the mower once, the battery is no longer taking a charge. This is my third battery - NOT AT ALL GOOD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. This is also my last battery as I have paid more than three times the initial cost for replacement batteries than the initial mower. The awful experience with this one piece of machinery from yardworks has kept me from purchasing anything else from them and will keep me from buying in the future. I had to give a star to write a review - trust me, I did it reluctantly.

When I bought it, I had my doubts about it,but the experience was better than I expected and I have been using it for a year without any problem. My wife and kids enjoy to cut the grass and I do not worry about their safety. Easy to move , to storage, to use. Winter time I plugged every second week and the battery is working. Today September the 13 I just cut the grass and works fine.

i have purchased 2 batteries now and @ $100 each why would one continue with this model. I followed the care instructions and am extremely disppointed.

I must confess I bought mine used but thought I would share my experience. This has to be one of the best investments that I've ever made. This thing charges and goes and goes and goes. Is powerful like a gas mower, without the constant pulling of a cord and no trips for gas. I had to sit down and share this after using it yesterday. I would buy this again in a heartbeat!

From minute I opened the box I found problems. The handle hold had tears in the fabric. The height control lever was broken and the plastic housing was deformed causing the blade to tear into the side of the mower! CDN tire let me exchange it after a bit of haggling but luckily the exchanged one does not have any of those problems. Just be sure to check for damage before you take this thing home.
