WORX trimmer/edger line is made from a patented copolymer nylon resin and synthetic material designed with an oval aerodynamic shape known as DoubleHelix DNALINE2. This patented design increases edging life up to 25-percent compared to normal use conditions. This patented resin line is softer allowing for the line to stretch and cushion on impact with hard surfaces. It has over 100 lbs of tensil strength compared to old lines that only offer 68 lbs of strength. DNA2 trimmer line is durable and flexible for longer life.

Spools are not good anymore

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered spools for life and the quality is not the same like previous, the line is not as thick and does not want to advance on its own. I have to manually advance each time. They are like the knock off versions which do not work good .
No, I do not recommend this product.

I have several WORX tools. As a woman I can do things that need to be done because WIRX tools are light but powerful. I have had back surgery but still able to use the tools. I like them and so does my husband because I don’t have to wait for him to have time to do it! A win win!!

A: Thank you for your question. You, First take off the cap and remove the old spool. Place new spool into cutting head. Feed one line through the eyelet, then repeat for second line. Release line from cleat on the Spool. Reattach the cap.

A: Hello there! Thank you for your inquiry. The WA0007 spool is not compatible with the WG186. Although the WG186 is an attachment‑capable string trimmer with a 15‑inch dual‑exit cutting head, it uses an easy‑load trimmer head rather than a traditional pre‑wound replacement spool. With this design, trimmer line is inserted directly into the head and wound in place, so there is no removable spool to replace. Because WA0007 is a pre‑wound spool intended for corded trimmers, it will not fit or function with the WG186. A: Hello Mike! Thank you for your question. We do not currently sell the pre-cut line for the Easy-Load spool on WG176. This spool line can be purchased at any general hardware store! The line needs to be 0.08", and each line will need to be 19.7' long for the dual exit ability. Thank you for choosing Worx!

A: Hello there. Thank you for your question. The WG186 utilizes an easy-load spool head (WA0045) that is new to the Worx product offering. This spool head must be installed onto the head of the grass trimmer prior to loading it with trimmer line. See product manual for trimmer line installation instructions. Since the spool head cannot be pre-wound with trimmer line, the WA0045 replacement spool head is sold without trimmer line.
