Horrible chemical smell

We had used these filters for our Winix air purifier several times in the past. Our most recent attempts to replace them have seen us invariably get filters with a horrid chemical smell.  We have since discarded our Winix air purifiers and will no longer use this product. It’s a shame, because we used to like them.
