High price for a disappointingly poor outcome

It is very expensive, only partially works. The brake and signal lights are detected fine but the running lights come on, or off, sporadically. The Tekonsha support says that I should return it but after taking a day in the cold and pulling the car half apart to install the unit removing it is unlikely to happen. The box may say "Works on all known vehicles" but Tekonsha support says it works with many vehicles the set of which does not include my 2023 Kia. The idea is good but it doesn't do the job.
