Halogen or Led - Jury still out

I bought this b/c i was following the specs of my recently bought rangehood. I wasn't sure whether to get an LED equivalent or even the basic bulb. i thought i'd try the halogen b/c at least the wattage design used 39W instead of the 50, plus it was on sale. It fit well into the rangehood. Very bright and warm under its light (as to be expected from a halogen). I think the life of it will be TBD. i only needed two bulbs, so the 3rd is going to be my spare.

A good life span with typical light from a Par20 bulb.
They are a bit more expensive than other Par20's but the life span helps make it worth while.

Seemed to last as indicated on box

These light bulbs last about 7.5 months for me. Although the package says it will last over 1 year, it also states about 1500 hours. They are in my kitchen so they get a lot of use therefore I do believe they did last the 1500 hours.
