Filter is Fine...Connector is Almost Useless

Filter does what it's supposed to do, filters out any potentially damaging debris from entering the washer pump. The caveat is, the female connection leaks like a sieve, as the thread seems wrong for the standard hose bibb connection and it will not tighten to the gasket..

This is is well worth getting. I was amazed at how much grit it has trapped after only 1 use. I am hooked up to city water and my tips kept getting plugged. Not anymore.

Q: what size is the adaptor? I was thinking of using this on my pump I use to pull water from the river with my shallow well. I have 1" poly running to it.

Q: I bought this item and assumed it could be taken apart to clean the filter I have struggled trying to unscrew the top to access the filter for cleaning. Absolutely zero instructions came with this unit and it would be a waste of money if this filter can't be cleaned and reused.

A: It is possible to open and clean the filters. It opens from the top to get the filter out for cleaning. It could be difficult opening it due to the rubber seal inside.
