Shark stick vacuum with cord

This is our 2nd Shark vacuum but the first was a full size upright which we've used through kids and pets for a number of years. I narrowed down between this corded stick and a cordless stick from another brand. I just didn't want to deal with running out of power which is the main reason I went with this Shark model. It does have great suction power. The cord is a bit shorter than I'd like but not really a big deal. Also the dust canister is small but I knew that going in. I bought it on sale at a decent price which is good as I'm thinking of adding a couple of accessories.

This is a fantastic vacuum. I pulled dirt from deep in my carpets and was amazed at how much came up. I like how light it is, and it works great on hardwoods as well. It doesn't smell like other vacuums because the filters are so good. The light on the front helps makes it so much easier see the dirt on the floor. I'm a big fan of corded vacuums and this one doesn't disappoint.

I have used a Dyson for the last 12 years or so. It worked great but didn't do much for pet fur except get caught up in the roller brush. This vacuum is a miracle for us. We have a Sheltie and we are amazed at the job it does. Well worth the money. You can't go wrong.

Q: Is this vacuum noisy? I bought it today and when I used it, it was really noisy. The vacuum I bought today is much louder than I expected. Is there something wrong with it?
