Excellent Boat

Excellent 2 person boat. Max speed 5 mph with a 3.5 HP Mercury 4S short shaft. Fits in the back of a Regular 1/2 ton no problem. Easy to put in and take out of water. Speed maximum at 5 mph and 3/4 throttle; trying to go full throttle slows down boat. 35 lb thrust electric okay but definitely does not compare to 3 and 1/2 ponies. Holds good with an anchor, fairly stable, can stand in it. Seat design makes for lots of extra room. Definitely needs mods for accessories; fish finder, cart for one person transport, etc.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great Unit

I just received mine and have used it a few times so far, no issues at all. The boat is fairly light for its size and fits on my Ford Escape's roof rack without a problem. The boat is very stable, my girlfriend and I were comfortable standing up on our first trip out and it was no issue to stay balanced. My Minn Kota Endura Max 50 lb thrust trolling motor was able to push us, both batteries and everything else on board with relative ease. This boat is definitely a game changer for my area, I can access the untouched small and narrow creeks and rivers for some intense small mouth, pike and walleye action and fish the bays and inland lakes/ponds for that and more.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Free Board - What is the minimum depth of water this boat will float in? i.e. my street is presently flooded due to the Ottawa River Flood Emergency, and I need a boat that will float in about 5 inches of water?  That is the shallowest part on my street.

1 Answer
  • A: The Bass Raider will float in a minimum depth of just a few inches however it is important to keep in mind that the added weight of passengers and gear will affect the depth required, it is recommended that the boat be used with a minimum of 12” if the weight is evenly distributed.
