lasted 3 months with minimal useage

bought unit in springtime didn't last the summer. summer was mild, and it was maybe used 3 weeks total. now it doesn't cool, and there is a black oil all over the back of it.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: What is the depth of this air conditioner? Gives me length and width, but don't know which measurement refers to the depth? or which one would be relevant to the width of the window opening. Actually same issue with every air conditioner on website.
