Disappointed in Quality

I really liked the fireplace, perfect for my basement project. Although after only ing installed for 2 months it developed a ticking sound. Over the last month its gotten louder. very distracting when your trying ro relax and enjoy. Googleing this a motor inside the unit. I tried to refer to the manual and website for warranty work and says you have to go to a registered napoleon store to start process. Im going to try and see if my local CT can do anything.
Not impressed with the quality nor the support after for a napoleon product.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Good unit, not excellent.

I'm really happy with the look of the unit and how easy it was to hang. The only knock is that the heat output is limited. I did not have high expectations for heat production and even with this in mind I would not score it well. Still happy I bought it.

50 inch wall unit

This unit came with legs so I could put it on a ledge and I plan on making a 4 by 4 beam frame around it.
I am very pleased with the look and quality of the item.

Easy to flush mount install. Directions come with are worth reading. Can lock out the heater portion so kids don’t accidentally turn on. Timer goes from 15 minutes to 8 hours. Heat is adjustable from 18C to 28C. Even has Bluetooth capabilities for your phone to connect and play music. Two Color’s for the background are able to be changed with 5 levels each. Very nice fireplace for price. Only downfall is the speaker for the Bluetooth sounds cheap or poor quality.

Q: We bought the Napoleon Wall Mount 50in with bluetooth. Someone installed it for us and the top of the glass is in about 2 inches further back than the bottom. Should the glass not be flat rather than on a tilt/

Q: Does this unit have a built in thermostat? I see there is a safety shut off for overheating but is there a setting that will allow the unit to turn back on when the temp in the room drops to under what is set?

A: My fireplace does shut off when it reaches the temperature it was set too. It also comes back on when it is no longer the set temperature.

A: No issues with tv installation above it. The heat comes from the bottom. We have had it installed with tv on top for a few years and no issues. Just follow manufactures requirements for installation.

Q: Is there clearances for wall finish material or because it’s a front vent it doesn’t have clearances? Hoping to recess it in the wall and use ship lap for the wall finish material

Q: What is the Height, Width and Depth dimensions required for recessed framing to mounting the fireplace?

A: On a non-load bearing wall, the height is 19” and the width is 43 7/8”. The depth is not an issue as the unit is not as deep as the space between the walls.
