Mastercraft Picture Hanging Set

Since moving into our new house last fall, I haven't hung as many pictures as I would like. So receiving this free Mastercraft General Tool Set & Picture Hanging Kit gives me the perfect reason to get those hung up now. The 7 piece kit comes with everything needed to hang any type of wall picture, right down to a small carrying case with an external pocket to hold everything included, and more. The weight of the hammer was appropriate & proportionate to the size of the hammer head. This hammer may not be well intended for larger hands. I asked my husband to hang the picture, & he struggled with it as the handle was just too short, but for my smaller hands it worked just fine. The carpenters pencils that were included, were an odd choice, a thick rounded pencil would have been a better choice. Using the pencil sharpener with these pencils was quite awkward, & I found it wasted a lot of the pencil. The kit came with two different levels. One of which can be rotated for different angles, but I'm not sure when I would ever have a need for this specific type. They were also both magnetic, which is both good & bad; good that you can stick it to a fridge or similar for easy access, but also bad as the magnets got stuck to everything metal nearby. The hardware pack includes nails, screws, wall hooks, wire & drywall plugs. The first nail we used, bent immediately, so perhaps not the strongest nails, but can be replaced with others you may have on hand. This kit makes the assumption that someone already has a drill & drillbits on hand, so it's more of an addition to what sets you already have rather than an all-in-one set. My overall opinion of this set is that it's great for small hanging jobs around the house where you just need a few small tools on hand. I only wish it also included a small measuring tape, as that felt like the one thing missing. The carrying bag makes it quite easy to move around, so it would be a nice set for someone starting out on their own, or for a small space. I've left it in my office closet where I can easily access it whenever I need to hang another picture.

No pictures? No problem! This picture frame hanging kit from Mastercraft is not only good for hanging picture frames but great from wall baskets for my plants !!!! Obsessed is an understatement! Not to mention that it came with a stud finder, pencils, pencil sharpener, leveler, hammer and some essentials to hang! It also came with a nice little storage bag perfect for an apartment with low storage!!! Thank you Canadian Tire !!!

Really nice set! Have all that is needed for small home repairs/projects. I would really recommend this kit and would definitely buy it for my home projects.

Received this for free for my review: This kit came with everything I needed to hang up a few frames around the house! The carrying bag is definitely a big plus, lets you keep all the parts together. The carpenter pencils and sharpener are a nice touch. The magnetic stuff finder is great, only downside of it is the middle level part can easily pop out, but just as easily pops back in, just gotta be mindful of that. One of the screws in my kit was missing its head but there are more than enough screws and nails that it was no big deal. Will definitely be utilizing all parts of this kit for future projects

I like that this Mastercraft picture hanging kit has everything that you need to hang any picture frame up on a wall: - Stubby hammer - Two pencils - Pencil sharpener - Magnetic stud finder - Mini level - Box of hardware: - Picture-hanging hardware (94 pieces) - Wall anchor hardware (56 pieces) - Carrying bag The carrying bag is great. I can separate the pencils and sharpener from the rest of the items. The magnetic stud finder has strong magnets. It works effectively to find studs in the wall. It also loves attaching to the mini level that also has a convenient magnet. Both have levels. The mini level is awesome, as it can balance on top of your picture frame. It measures both vertically and horizontally. It's easy to read, which is great in a mini. The pencils come in handy. The sharpener was effective. There is a lot of hardware to hang your picture frames and anchor them to your walls. If you are fairly experienced hanging picture frames, you'll be fine. However, if you're a novice, this kit doesn't comes with a how-to leaflet on hanging picture frames. It would be nice if it did as a reference for everyone. Otherwise, you need to do some side research and learning beforehand. The stubby hammer is awesome. It's comfortable to grip and it's got a decent weight to hammer. I like that it's smaller for picture-hanging tasks. You don't need a full-sized hammer! This kit came in handy. I got to put up some original artwork in picture frames from two special people.
