    Very good buy

I had mixed knives in a drawer and was getting fed up with fishing them out when I needed to cut something. So I went looking for a good deal and found these on sale. I'd previously paid as much as $180 for just one good knife and I'm doubtful as to the value received. They sit in that infernal drawer with the rest and don't seem any better as I need to sharpen them just as often. When I got this set home I was happy with the quality and finish. The only notable omission for anyone looking for a complete set is the lack of a bread knife. The utility knife is serrated and will easily cut small french loaves but it you like the big wide artisan bread you'll have to get a long bread knife separately. I happen to have one in the drawer so it doesn't bother me greatly. There is also no steel but that's compensated by the ceramic knive sharpener built-in. The knives included are good, They all seem to have their purpose. Perhaps they could have dropped one of the Santoku knives in favor of the aforementioned bread knife though. Like any good set, stainless or not they recommend not washing these in the Dishwasher which is fine because it's better to clean them directly and place them back in the block for the next use. The only other comment I have is that the steak knives aren't serrated, I prefer to have them serrated. That's said however we had steak this weekend with them and they cut cleanly through a marinaded tenderized grilling steak with ease.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
