jiffy stealth 10 inch junk

i bought this auger hard to start adjusted the carb still hard starting in cold weather mins 20 drills okay not fast 3 feet of ice but u get very wet it drills back wards pulls all the water all over you.you have wear coveralls when drilling very bad in cold weather recoil broke ..made a loud bang seized solid . junk for $600. dollars . going buy a eskimo z71 this year.

Out of the box new this thing took about 50 pulls to start.When it did start it stalled trying to drill holes.Plastic parts broke,only had it two weekend drilled 8 frustrating holes and brought it back.Junk don't buy this

Don't Buy

Brand new right out of the box it started good,idled good. On the first hole it bogged right out. If it has any load on it, it bog's out. Engine runs great as long as its not drilling a hole. Now trying to get warranty work done on it is another headache. I'm guessing this is the reason its discontinued. Wish I would have went with another eskimo auger now.

Bad investment

This machine is a disappointment. Right from the rock hard ez-lock collar and fragile brittle plastic used to form the air intake to the extremely hard starting motor this machine has let me down. Every cold start requires extra assistance by squirting fuel into the air intake, the response is immediate and this beast comes alive and runs very well once running. The primer bulb and choke do nothing to aid in starting this motor wether its -5 or -30, only at room temp do they offer thier support. And be very careful and treat this machine as you would a carton of eggs, at cold temps the plastic shatters like glass and the placement and size of the fuel line and filter inside the tank require that you maintain at least a half tank of fuel at all times! On the bright side, everything from the motor down works great!

Q: I noticed that Canadian Tire doesn't stock the Jiffy STX replacement blade kits. Is this something you can order in?

A: Jiffy STX 10” replacement blades can be ordered by CTC. The standard pack is 6 blades per carton. We also have STX replacement blades in 8 & 9” as well.
