I haven't had these very long, and I certainly haven't used them too terribly much, but the left speaker has already stopped working.

I bought these because of the price. The eartips that were fitted were too small, so I removed them to put the large eartips on. The eartips are not changeable by hand. I spent 10 minutes and ended up dropping the whole lot into the bin.

It said it had extra bass or something like that but it actually didn't, it sounded bad, no low end, like a transistor radio, the cheapest one you could find. It also has no volume unless the button is pressed, which isn't lockable, and obviously you can't hold it pressed permanently. I'll never use them, they're that bad, just a complete waste of money. I could tell you which brand DOESN'T sound like dollar store ones but it probably wouldn't bad allowed in the review. You can probably figure it out though, they're a well known company. I suggest JBL buy a pair and keep trying to match them, because right now they are far from it. I guess they might be okay for phone calls, because phones have bad audio anyway, but for listening to music, total fail.

Q: Where is the "Pure Bass"? I don't hear ANY bass sounds, I've tried it with every setting on my phone, but there is absolutely NO bass.

  • A: Rather than just increasing the bass on the EQ you can try cutting down some of the frequencies around 4kHz: this is where most of the vocals and much of the instruments lay on a track. The 'JBL Pure Bass' sound, i reckon, is pretty much that the presence of bass doesn't affect treble, which would prevent a 'muddy' sound. Increase bass EQ around 200Hz too boost bass

  • A: Thanks for reaching out. If one side of your JBL Tune 110 is louder than the other, it is likely caused by a build-up of dust in the grille or an unsecured seal within your ear canal. To get the best audio response from the JBL Tune 110, please angle the ear tip slightly downward and gently twist the earbuds into your ear canal to achieve the best seal and secure fit with the earbuds. The in-ear headphones are also susceptible to a build-up of dust and dirt, which can cause volume imbalance issues. Please try cleaning the earbuds by removing dust or dirt using a pointed toothpick to remove large amounts and a small amount of rubbing alcohol applied to a cotton swab for final degreasing. If you need more help, please contact our customer support for further assistance.
