DREMEL Metal EZ Cut Wheel, 12-pack

I purchased the spark deflector and this boy came with it. I had to use it to cut the twist lock on the bottom of my sink drain bowl. In just the 20-30 seconds of making 3 cuts through this little bit of thin metal, the cutting wheel already came off the metal ezlock center that is attached to it.

I have used the very thin cutoff wheels with my Dremel and they get eaten up very quick. These EZ456B wheels last a long time and work great. And the Quick release mandrel is awesome also. At work, I had these in a Dremel Kit 710-08 and did not realize it. I really needed something like this for cutting off some security screws and they worked great. Now I am purchasing some for home where I do a lot of tinkering around and use my Dremel a lot. I usually use carbide bits however these will be used a lot also.

Just clicked onto the mandrel adapter and got to work at 30,000rpm. Cut through the metal screws like butter. Another great product from Dremel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While completing repairs to my 90 year old garage, I needed to remove and replace wood fascia and soffit boards under an existing asphalt roof that was still in good shape. I tried using a hacksaw and reciprocating saw to cut the nails attaching the rotted boards from the roof sheathing boards, but the hacksaw was exhausting for the amount of nails I had to remove, and the reciprocating saw was too aggressive and inaccurate to cut only the nails and not the roof sheathing. The Dremel EZ Lock Metal Cut-Off Wheels with my Dremel 3000 were perfect for the job. I was able to cut each nail quickly and accurately without damaging the roof sheathing boards or compromising the existing asphalt roofing. Based on how quickly this project was eating through reciprocating saw blades on other sections, I was thrilled that I was able to use a single cut-off wheel for countless nails around about 200' of boards to be removed (and it's still in good shape!). I bought the bulk pack figuring I would go through blades quickly, but I didn't, and I now have plenty left for my next projects.
