Q: Can I use this with a marine battery only? I want to go canoe camping and I have aKoto electric motor and will want to fill my mattress when I get to my camping spot.
2 years agoA: It consumes a lot of power. Better off getting a stand alone battery powered pump for your air mattress. Or a smaller converter. I used a 12v 75w converter in the past to pump up an air mattress. This one is more for construction work running off a truck battery with the engine running.

Q: Not sure I understand the features vs. the Specifications. Features states "Plugs into any 12V DC outlet to deliver up to 140W of continuous power" but the Specifications states "Continuous Power 1000 W". Is this a type error on the features.
3 years agoA: The 140W is an error. This inverter can provide up to 1000W AC continuous when connected directly to a battery using the temporary (clamps) or permanent (ring terminals) cables provided with the unit.

Q: How long are the battery terminal cables?
3 years agoA: There are two sets of cables included for temporary or permanent connection. The cables with clamps are 36" long. The cables with ring terminals are 18" long.

Q: is this item powerful enought to power a small electric heater and television and for how many hours... do you use a regulaar car battery for power? how many volts?
4 years agoA: Depends on how big of a heater. If the heater draws more than 1000 w then it will not work. I recommend. Getting a diesel heater that works off 12 volts and barely draw anything from the battery the heat comes from burning the diesel. They are like $250 delivered to your door off Amazon. It will power a tv, lights and a few other things, I used a vacuum and a jigsaw at the same time the other day. You need a 12 battery to power the inverter. I recommend going with a deep cycle as they are better for slow draw. A regular car battery will work but depends on the size of it how long it will last for.

Q: Could I use this or even something like this as a portable charger for an electric scooter
3 years agoA: Not on it's own, but connected to one or more 12V batteries, you could plug a battery charger into it and charge your scooter.

Q: Does this unit have a low voltage shut off?
3 years agoA: Yes it does. The low voltage alarm will sound when battery drops below 11V and complete shutdown will occur if the battery reaches 10V. This is to protect the inverter, your battery and your equipment.
