Better than wax by far. Took 10 min to unscrew the toilet, clean the old wax away and pop this in. Stopped leak immediately.

I have installed about two dozen toilets in my time. Always used simple wax rings, and replace them every five years because they can dry up and leak and believe me you don’t want to live through that. So when I saw this product, I thought it was a great idea, and scooped up a pair of them. But the dream quickly turned into a nightmare. Standard toilet flanges are either 3 1/2 or 4 inch diameter. The product said it was universal and so I thought I would be fine. Wrong. I did not need the extra spacer, so just mounted the seal onto my 3 1/2 inch floor flange. I lowered the toilet carefully onto the seal, but it did not allow the toilet to properly seat down into position, such that the base of the toilet was not touching the floor. I thought perhaps I would just have to use the mounting bolts and nuts to nudge the fixture into place. I carefully and slowly tightened the nuts, alternating sides. I started to get nervous when I realized I was turning the nuts further down the threads than with my previous wax ring. But it seemed clear I needed to continue tightening, as the toilet fixture was still not touching the floor and was very wobbly. I hesitantly continued 1/4 turn at a time until, POP - the PVC floor flange broke. This caused a six hour rework! Jigsaw with a long blade to score into the sides of the internal wall of the floor flange without damaging the drain pipe into which it is glued. Then an hour of chipping the internal neck of the flange away from from the drain pipe, again being careful not to damage it. And then, after all that, had to go back to the store and buy wax rings which installed easily and sealed perfectly with no trouble. This product may be perfectly fine with a 4 inch drain, but it’s impossible to use with a 3 1/2 inch drain, which many houses have.

Doesn't work. Leaks like there is no seal at all.

I will NEVER go back to using a wax ring. Used this on both toilet replacements. No issues. Super easy.
