How thick of a curtain rod do I need?

Thicker rods are typically better for heavier curtains, while thinner rods are better for lightweight curtains. Generally, choose a rod with a diameter that is at least 1-inch thick. At most stores, the standard sizes available are between 28-48 inches, 48-84 inches, 66-120 inches, or 120-170 inches.

Choose a curtain rod thick enough to hold your curtains while still being thin enough to fit your window frame. Consider the size and weight of the curtains and the size of your window frame.

How do you hang heavy curtains without any hassle?

Hanging heavy curtains can be a tricky task. The best way to hang heavy curtains is to use a sturdy curtain rod and brackets rated for the weight of the curtains. Use a stud finder to locate the studs in the wall and use screws to secure the brackets firmly. Make sure to hang the curtains from the rod loops and use a level to ensure the rod is even. Finally, double-check to make sure the curtains are securely in place.
