When your horse looses a shoe Duct Tape (the outdoor type) is great for waterproofing and protecting your horse's shoeless foot. It protects the hoof wall from being destroyed until the shoe can be replaced

I repaired my car seat upholstery it lasted over a year through freezes and 105 degree temperatures. I bought seat covers but this duck tape didnt budge in the mean time.
