Not really a Value for money. Good amount of water storage. The slots for pad and oil makes the tank clean and reusable without a need for daily wash. Only thought it could be priced between $25 -$30. This would be a no brainer.

Its creates enough stem to increase humidity but it boils all the water from tank so its impossible to touch the tank when its running. plus it throws a lot of water out which wets the floor.

A: Not convinced that this is mineral buildup. All other humidifier I used, plus all kettles, have white color buildup. Why would it be different for this humidifier?

A: You do not need a filter and there is a cup for use with the jar type Vicks. I empty the water out after every use as I always add a small amount of salt to the water.

Q: My machine doesn't emit any vapes, it's water level is exactly the same since 2 days. Is there a setting that I need to fix or I should need a replacement?

A: We will be happy to help you. This can be because your water does not have enough minerals. Please use tap water, not purified or distilled water. If you are already using tap water, we would advise adding 1/8 a teaspoon of salt, mixing the water, and letting the unit run. If this does not get the unit to steam, we advise adding more salt, in 1/8th a teaspoon increments up to 1/2 a teaspoon at most. A: There is a bowl built in front of where the steam escapes. It holds a wedge of cardboard or a blotter you can put a few drops on. You can also buy pre-made Vicksburg blotter for it. It came with a sample I believe.

Q: I have to use salt to get it steaming. I know it works because I can hear it and I feel better now in the mornings but the unit doesn’t steam after a while. We have soft water so does that stop it from steaming? Do I use cold or warm water?

A: I use cold tap water. I usually add a teaspoon of salt because I once put a little more and it created too much steam and it ran out of water much quicker, which caused for it to stop steaming. If the water is very low the steam will stop. I make sure to clean mine as directed after each use. If your unit still has a lot of water and it stops steaming maybe you should check the warranty, it might be defective. I hope this helps.

Q: How do you fill the Vicks Vaporizer? Do you take it to the sink, or can you pour water into the top??
