Almost got me killed.

Went out on a job at a remote site for 4 weeks, and realized that I had forgotten my headlamp at home. Had one day in town halfway through, and picked this unit up at the Canadian Tire as a replacement. It worked the first time I used it so thought I was good to go; but it then started malfunctioning in bizarre ways once I got back to the bush; for instance, when I would turn it off, it would then not turn back on until I had waited some indeterminate length of time (30 minutes?). The first time it did this was in the middle of a bear encounter at my campsite at night; I didn't really need the extra stress of my headlamp not working while trying to deal with mama bear and her two cubs in the pitch dark. I survived, but was stuck without a working headlamp until I made it back to civilization. At least I learned the valuable lesson that I should never buy Woods brand equipment ever again.
No, I do not recommend this product.
