Too Fragile

First time I used it a piece fell off on the inside...going to try to take it back .....unfortunately although Canadian Tire says they stand behibd their products they make it such a big hassel to return defective products

A: I have experienced the same thing but have not found a solution other than to operate on a lower seeing. My daughter’s has the same model but older and she uses distilled water. For me that is an added expense I was not prepared for.

A: You can use tap water but it is not recommended as the unit will scale up badly and you’ll lose performance.

Q: Can you use city tap water? Is only well water hard water or is there other hard water? Is city tap water soft or hard?

If you have hard water (which can be well or municipal), we would suggest using a demineralization cartridge, PDC51, or mixing in distilled water to reduce the concentration of the minerals in the water.
