What are the different types of wood cutting tools?

There are several types of wood-cutting tools, each designed for a specific purpose.

Hand saws are the most basic and traditional type of wood cutting tool and are used for cutting wood by hand.

Circular saws use a circular blade to cut through wood and are used in construction and woodworking.

Table saws make precise cuts and are commonly found in woodworking shops.

Chainsaws are a power tool often used for cutting trees and large branches.

What else do I need for wood cutting, chipping, or shredding?

In addition to wood cutting tools, there are a few other items required for wood-cutting and chipping projects. Personal protective equipment is essential and includes earplugs, safety glasses, and gloves. A sturdy workbench, clamps and sharpening tools help complete your project comfortably and safely. Keep your work area organized and clean with a dust collection system and a wood storage system.
