What kind of rope should I use for a camping tarp?

For tying down a tarp outdoors, it’s recommended to use a rope made from either polyester or nylon. Both nylon and polyester ropes boast great durability and are resistant to chemicals, UV light and mildew, while also working well in wet conditions. The primary difference is that nylon stretches more under pressure, making it slightly stronger than polyester when under high levels of stress.
