What is PEX?
PEX refers to the type of polyethylene plastic used to make the pipe. It's a more modern plumbing system that uses plastic pipes and metal fittings to make connections and is popular for water supply plumbing.

What are the advantages of PEX?
PEX pipe is less expensive than copper pipe and quicker and easier to install. PEX won't corrode like copper when used in regions with acidic water. PEX pipe can be colour-coded so that you know which line is for hot or cold water.

How do you connect PEX pipe fittings?
PEX pipes are coupled together and connected to fixtures and outlets with metal fittings. PEX pipe is clamped onto fittings with cinch clamps or crimp rings.

How do you separate PEX pipe fittings?
PEX fittings, couplers, and adaptors are generally separated by lengths of PEX pipe which connect them.
